Wet Plate Collodion
I have been teaching myself the wet plate collodion process over the last few years. This 19th century process is undergoing somewhat of a resurgence as people discover its potential to create one of a kind images. Wet plate is very hands on, and requires the ability to adapt on the fly as temperatures, conditions, and light changes. The results are very unique, and they have an aesthetic and look not possible with other mediums. Each image is hand poured onto either glass, or blackened metal. As a result, each image is unique from one plate to the next.
